ABC Radio Bedtime Stories
ABC Radio 936 Hobart hosted a competition for the best 10 word bedtime story inspired by Motel Dreaming, on Statewide Evenings with Helen Shield. A complimentary double room went to Kara for the winning entry:

Let's hope I don't wake to piddle!
Embraced in a tango of incubation.
I fell hard, crimson and breathless, cushioned by painted nails.
Rainbows, ponies, ah forget it, the budget will pass Senate
Once upon a time a Princess and a frog dreamed
An owl hooted the moon; faraway stars twinkled goodnight kisses.
He ran his hand up her thigh.
Bed, come gather me.
Hurried is the night.
Sleep my destination
Eyes embrace across a crowded room.
Soon, my love. Soon
Candle flickers, his smile shy. Take my hand, she says.

Not a peep.
My mother and father’s honeymoon motel, nervous kisses/dreamless sleep
She breathes air in California,
I feel her eyes flutter
Waking nightmare or lucid dream, nothing is as it seems
Beneath the bed they shiver, fearing the monsters sleeping above.
Dark winter nights,
warmed by sweet vice.
Stay with me.
Shut only your eyes. Let mind feast on raw consciousness
Lost children abandon breadcrumbs; trick witch with Hadron particle collider.
Open your soul
so that dreams may

Warm hands, warm bits.
Love it when everything just fits
Moon in sky, so knickers fly.
Under covers private eye
While she slumbers the goblin king watches ponders and wonders
She shallowly breathed through the squeeze, into dark not quite dreams.
Mistress kills queen, king kills mistress. Broken Heart kills king.
Teeth-grinding, deafening hell; my neighbour is playing his bagpipes.
She did not sleep.
He did not wake up.
Fall asleep smiling and the monsters will dance for you
